House Democrats to Impeach Trump…AGAIN!

The Big Scary Orange Man, also known as President Donald Trump, has announced the closest thing to concession regarding the presidential election.  The President has declared that there will be a peaceful transition of power.

Nevertheless, there have been calls for Trump’s impeachment even though he is set to leave office on January 20th. The soon-to-be impeachers say that President Trump is a danger to society and that he was the one who instigated the Capitol violence. This is blatantly false.  He has recently said that those who broke the law during the Capitol protests “will pay.”

What does this reveal about the Democrats? They have still not accepted the fact that President Trump was rightfully elected and served as President for four years – even as his presidency is about to end. Furthermore, the Democrats are terrified that the Trumpian era will continue beyond the end of this term. If impeached and removed from office, Trump will be barred from running for the presidency in the future in the style of former President Grover Cleveland. Trump has awoken conservatives from their silence. Although the violent aspects are to be condemned, the Capitol protests show that conservatives have had ENOUGH.

The culture war is not even close to over.  The Biden-Harris victory does not mark an end of the decades-long division.  Rather, the war takes on a new form.  President Trump does not appear as if he will leave the political arena. This latest impeachment attempt is a political stunt meant to discredit the President, his accomplishments, his future actions, and those who support American Conservatism.

Additionally, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other House Democrats tried to persuade Vice President Pence to enact the 25th Amendment.  The amendment allows for the Vice President to become Active President if the President is deemed unfit. Thankfully, Pence refused.

In conclusion, the Democratic Party as a whole is still suffering from Trump-induced post-traumatic stress. To the Democrats, Trump is a big, evil, orange boogyman – always to be feared.

Edit (01/13/2021): The House of Representatives impeached President Trump. The Senate will meet on January 19th where Trump will all-but-certainly be acquitted. This will be one day before election day.
