Giving Thanks with the Pilgrims

The Pilgrims were operating in thanks for the food, but more so for God’s mercy in the satisfaction and sustenance they received over their year of affliction. We, today, are quick to find reason to grumble and complain. We wander like the Israelites, seeing vivid applications of God’s mercy and humbling works and yet pass on by without deeper meditation. Our minds may work, but our hearts are deaf.
